The following is a very simple example of how an audio podcast works.

First, you need a program like iTunes which is available for free download from Apple Computer. iTunes can be used on both Apple and PC computers and tens of millions of people already use it. Once you have iTunes, open the Advanced drop down menu and select Subscribe to Podcast. A dialog box will open. Copy and paste the following URL into the dialog box and click OK. You will be subscribed to the podcast. You can play it in iTunes or download it into an iPod to listen to it. The example podcast is a 15 second MPEG3 audio selection.
